Budget Funeral Company

Browne Brothers Funerals was established as part of the Kingston Funerals Group from a perceived need for a quality budget funeral company.  More and more Melbourne families were struggling with the costs associated with traditional funerals. It was decided to offer a cheaper alternative cremation and burial option.Browne Brothers are cheap in the sense of cost, not service. As part of the Kingston group service is paramount – there can be no compromise.  Some of the “Bells and Whistles” are not there.  Browne Brothers operates with minimum staff and uses equipment that Kingston would have considered to be retired due to Kingston updating their equipment.  Funerals are normally scheduled during the quieter times of the day. This enables Kingston to utilize 100% of their funeral staff and almost eliminates down time, thus keeping costs down.  The majority of Browne Brothers Funerals are cremations and it is a little easier to minimize staff i.e. maybe there will be fewer people to open doors and the Celebrant (being in-house) helps on the funerals prior to entry into the chapel.Obviously Browne Brothers conduct burial services as well as cremation.  Extra funeral staff are charged, as are viewings and mortuary preparation. Embalming and after hours transfers….”the Bells and Whistles”.Browne Brothers Funerals was established in 2002 and conducts around 500 budget funerals a year, in and around Melbourne.  We currently are conducting second and third generation funerals, (funerals that have originated from families that have used our funeral services before).  This should indicate that the Browne Brothers service is not cheap and nasty.  Families see Browne Brothers as a viable option to the large Corporate Companies. With regards to mortuary preparation, no short cuts are taken.  The Kingston Group employs a full time, fully qualified embalmer and a female apprentice.  The Kingston Group is committed to professional mortuary preparation and will always have professional embalmers and apprentices working for them.  Plans are in progress to install a teaching mortuary subject to accreditation by the Education Department. In conclusion, Browne Brothers Funeral Services offer Melbourne a Reasonable Cost Alternative Funeral Service without taking any short cuts. For those considering a Melbourne cremation, Browne Brothers Funerals is an ideal choice
