Finding the Right Wooden Swingset for You.
I was out with the kids the other day on a shopping trip. We came across a place that specialized in doing back yard fun for kids. Of course once the kids had seen this they immediately wanted to go in and have a look around. Of course with me being a big kid myself I was happy to oblige.
There was one particular item that stood out to me. This was always one of my childhood favorites. Something that I used to be able to play on everyday and never get bored! Even today I find myself drawn to them at the park. Of course I’m talking about the swingsets.
The ones at the store were made of high quality wood, they are strong and sturdy. After seeing this, the kid in me really came out. I wanted one and I was going to get one!
My kids of course didn’t argue, why would they? They were also going to be able to play on the wooden swingset (when I wasn’t on it) whenever they wanted to. There are a few options when it comes to wooden swingsets; one of the options was to have multiple swings. This I thought would be an excellent idea; I didn’t want the children to be fighting over whose turn it was. So I went with 2 swings made from quality cedar wood. The reason I choose the cedar wood was because it naturally repels the elements helping it prevent decay. This was great news for me as I wouldn’t have to constantly maintain it.
I now have the wooden swingset in my back yard and it has been as big of a hit as I expected. The wife and I sometimes just like to go and hang out on the swings and talk in the warm summer nights when the kids are in bed. The kids like to swing fast and high every day, it seems to give them a sense of freedom and fun.
The swingset is an old time favorite that looks like it will never go out of style. It has been around for years, I remember them from when I was a child and even my parents remember swings as a child. They seem to have fond memories for just about everyone who has played on them as a kid.
