Long Lasting Chic
Of all decorating trends the one that I love the most is shabby chic. This laid back yet somewhat elegant way of decorating gives you a refreshing feeling that just makes you want to sit back and relax. I’ve used this throughout my home and even on my patio. It is the perfect decorating style for the space where I usually spend my lazy afternoons in.
There seemed to be nothing better to use than wicker furniture for a truly shabby chic theme. It was beautiful and blended well with the other pieces and accents that I put in. It worked really well during the summer season but I’ve got to admit that I had a handful of problems when the other seasons with rain came in. Varnishing it and covering it did not do much in terms of protecting it from the weather.
My beautiful wicker furniture did not stand well in this kind of weather and it was ruined in no time. I tried to put in other kinds of furniture but nothing seemed to work as well as the wicker pieces; I almost that that I would have to give up on the whole shabby chic theme until I discovered resin wicker patio furniture.
I was really surprised to see how much these resembled the actual resin furniture. The only difference was that since it is made of resin it is much sturdier and weathers quite well. After some rain or snow all you need to do is wipe up the pieces and you are good to go again.
