Stylish and Practical Bathroom Storage Ideas

Having a home with a small bathroom can present storage challenges. However, with a little creativity there are some Bathroom Space Saver Cabinet ideas to keep even the smallest bathrooms organized and tidy. If adding shelving or a piece of furniture is not an option, maximize the existing cabinets by using containers and adjustable shelves to organize towels and larger personal items. Small bathroom organizers with drawers fit neatly on counter tops and are ideal for storing makeup and hair accessories. Keep counter tops clutter free by hanging one or more three-tier baskets (like the ones used in a kitchen for fruit) to hold loose accessories, a curling iron, blow dryer and makeup.

Having a small bathroom does not mean having a disorganized bathroom. Another Bathroom Space Saver allows you to free up cabinet space. Many stores carry toilet paper caddies to attractively store extra rolls of paper while doubling as a toilet paper holder. If you have a little floor space, there are affordable, attractive standing wall cabinets and armoires for additional storage. Many of them provide a towel rack for additional space to hang towels or wash cloths, and have enclosed cabinets and open shelving. The cabinet top can be used as additional counter space or to add decorative touches.

Add storage to an area that is often wasted space. If there is not existing storage over the toilet, consider an etagere which is a cabinet specifically designed as a bathroom space saver. They come in wood, metal, or painted finishes to match any existing bathroom decor. Etageres can have open shelves, enclosed Mirrored Bathroom Cabinets, drawers and towel racks. This provides additional storage for towels, personal items, kids bath toys and cleaning supplies. Most require assembly, but are easy to do. Make sure to measure the dimensions of the tank and the area around the sides so that it fits properly.

Do not forget to utilize the space in your bathtub or shower as an additional bathroom space saver. There are many versatile shower caddies that organize soaps, shampoos and shaving items. They can hang from the shower nozzle, not taking up any additional space and keeping the sides of the tub clutter free. There is always space available behind the bathroom door for storage. Hooks or racks simply hang over the door, providing storage for towels and robes. Other simple ideas include using hooks and bins that attach to shower walls with suction cups. With a little effort, any small bath can stay organized.
