Timber Pergola Kits
What is the difference from “timber” pergola kits to “vinyl” pergola kits, you may ask? The most noticeable difference between these two materials is the actual look of your pergola. The timber looks like it was built from wood and has a more natural look to it. The vinyl has a shimmer and is the third most used plastic. It is a sturdier plastic than the others and this is the reason why it is more used. It can be very flexible, but it can also be very sturdy and hard with no movement at all. It is the strongest of all plastics. So therefore, when choosing what you want for your pergola, these come very handy in helping you decide. Depending on what look and how sturdy you want them.
A few advantages of getting a timber pergola kit rather than the vinyl would be because wood in and of itself has a long lasting life. So, then whatever is built out of this wood also has this long-span life. The pergola also has a much neater look to it and doesn’t look “plastic” and cheap. The timber is the most top quality material you could get. Timber is flexible for the feel of seasons and weather also. If it rains, it expands and makes leeway for the changes in temperature as well as the humidity of the environment, which in turn doesn’t crack. The vinyl on the other hand gets dirty and warps pretty easily. It doesn’t have as long of a life span and so therefore your pergola will have to be renewed much faster.
When you’ve got your kit, the timber may be a little bit more difficult to follow directions because of the quality and importance of getting things set in the correct position. Vinyl isn’t as picky, but it most definitely is not better quality.
