The church supply buyer gets no thanks on the job

If you tried to count the number of thankless jobs in this world, you would undoubtedly run out of time because there are way too many. Let’s take a minute and try to name just a few.

First, there’s the trash collector. His job is extremely important, but we treat it like just some thing that we take for granted. What would you do if the trash collector stopped coming to your house? Your trash would pile up on your curb, your property would start to stink, your property value would go down, you wouldn’t be able to sell your home, which could result in foreclosure. All because the trash collector didn’t come.

What about the toll collector? If he chose not to do his job, people would sit in their cars and not be able to move anywhere for weeks. Could you miss your work for weeks just because you couldn’t move through the toll collection booth? Few people could.

Next is the Wal-mart greeter. What would your Wal-mart experience be like if that person wasn’t there to greet you? Sure, they don’t look up from their newspaper half the time, but when they do, they bring a little sunshine into your day.

Lastly, and possibly most important, is a job that is done at church. Churches need someone to buy their supplies, and if there is nobody to do it, there are no church supplies for the congregation. Could you go to a church where that kind of stuff was going on? I don’t think you would willingly go, so you should show some respect to all of these people, especially the church supplies buyer.
